What a wonderful job I have! I get to help our future grow and develop, a responsibility, privilege, and inspiration. I have always loved learning and after high school, I went to Washington State University (Go Cougs!) to earn a business degree. While I enjoyed marketing and working in the business world, I found my passion for teaching when I had my children. I attended the University of Puget Sound to get my teaching degree in Elementary Education. My sons graduated from high school and went to Tacoma Community College and Eastern Washington State University and I moved to Penny Creek Elementary. After becoming a National Board Certified Teacher and spending eight years at Penny Creek Elementary, I moved to Jackson Elementary as a part of of the Silvers Team.
I live in Mukilteo and enjoy listening to the ferry horn and small historic planes buzzing around from Paine Airfield. My hobby passions are family heritage, scrapbooking and stamping, reading, my herb garden, walking and hiking, and traveling. I lived a year in Germany and have gone back to Europe a few times. It's time to go again!! I love to read all kinds of books: historical fiction, mysteries, realistic fiction, history books, crime novels, and more.
My goal for each of my students is to grow into life long learners. You can always contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
