Welcome

  • logo Welcome to Seventh Grade English with Dianne Lundberg.

Thank you for checking out my website.  Allow me to share a bit about myself...

I am married to Ed Lundberg, an eighth grade U.S. history instructor at Heatherwood Middle School. We have 41 years of wedded bliss together, as well as three grown children, five grandchildren, and four step-grandchildren.  We have two Golden Retrievers, Sadie and Sammy, and you might just see the four of us walking around Mill Creek together.

As far as interests, family is very important. We enjoy traveling, watching movies, attending sporting events, and eating together.  I have been to Ireland three times, and to China five times.  You should see the life sized Terracotta Warrior in our family room. It keeps all intruders away!  Last spring/summer Mr. Lundberg and I traveled in France for two weeks with our daughter, son-in-law, and stepgrandchildren.  We had a memorable time experiencing the sites and enjoying a river cruise.  This summer we stayed closer to home, visiting museums in California and enjoying Disneyland.  After that, our son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren visited from Texas.  The time flew by as we spent time with relatives and friends.  We had a blast despite the 90 degree weather without air conditioning.  Ugh.

As far as teaching background, I graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 1978 with a degree in communication. In 1991, I returned to college to pursue a Master in Teaching degree through Seattle University. The professors created a strong academic environment where the students learned in the manner we were expected to teach.  It was a powerful experience, and I was hired upon graduation in 1992. My teaching journey includes the adventure of being an elementary school librarian, as well as working in general and gifted education.   I am a National Board certified teacher, endorsed as a middle childhood generalist (3-8th grade).  I have additional endorsements in sociology and middle school English.  I was Everett Public School's Teacher of the Year in 2006.

Please follow the English calendar for projects and homework assignment this year.  I also have a Parent Information page you are invited to view.  I am looking forward to a fantastic 2018-19 academic school year.  See you in the classroom.
