Welcome to Seventh Grade English with Dianne Lundberg.

Let me introduce myself.  I graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 1978 with a degree in communication. In 1991, I returned to college to pursue a Master in Teaching degree through Seattle University. The professors created a strong academic environment where the students learned in the manner we were expected to teach.  It was a powerful experience, and I was hired upon graduation in 1992. My teaching journey includes the adventure of being an elementary school librarian, as well as working in general and gifted education.
I am a National Board certified teacher, endorsed as a middle childhood generalist (3-8th grade).  I have additional endorsements in sociology and middle school English.  I was Everett Public School's Teacher of the Year in 2006.
I am married to Ed Lundberg; a lifetime fitness, and history instructor at Heatherwood Middle School. We have 40 years of wedded bliss together, as well as three grown children and four grandchildren. In September of 2011 we added two Golden Retrievers to our life.  Call us crazy, but we added a third Golden in the fall of 2015, and he is a whopping 94 lbs. You might find us walking around Mill Creek with Sadie, and Sammy.  Sadly, we lost Sophie to cancer last November.
As far as interests, family is very important. We enjoy traveling, watching movies, attending sporting events, and eating together.  I have been to Ireland three times and to China five times.  You should see the life sized Terracotta Warrior in our family room. It keeps all intruders away!  This spring/summer Mr. Lundberg and I traveled in France for two weeks.  Bon Jour!
I am looking forward to a fantastic 2017-18 academic school year.
