Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year!
I am very excited to have your student in my class this year and am looking forward to a year full of learning, growth, and development.
I have a B.A. in Biology & Geology (combined) from Whitman College (Walla Walla, WA) and my Masters in Teaching from Seattle University. I am coming back to teaching after a long time out of the classroom, where I worked as an Executive Assistant in various industries, incuding biotech, medical devices, and healthcare.
I graduated from Everett Public Schools as a student and my son and daughter (8th grade and 10th grade) are also enrolled in the district. I am proud to be joining the Timberwolves team at Jackson!
In Coordinated Science we will be exploring the impact humans have on our planet as we learn about the earth, the universe, where matter comes from and how it interacts to form the compounds that make up everything around us. I love teaching science and I can't wait to see those lightbulbs turn on in my students' heads!
This year is the first year that JHS is offering Robotics Tech and I am so excited to be a part of this new program! Students in Robotics will gain hands on experience with engineering design and programming with EasyC, while building their problem solving, logic, and critical thinking skills.
It's going to be a great year!
