    WIFI SPEED TEST #1

      WIFI SPEED Test #2

A speed test verifies your download speed as well as other related data, including upload speed and network latency.

Download Speed: Download speed denotes how quickly Internet content is transferred to your computer or home network in Mbps.

Upload Speed: Upload speed is naturally the opposite of download speed, describing how quickly you are able to upload content to the Internet. This is important if you use your Internet to regularly share personal videos, music, and images.

Ping (Latency): Ping reflects the amount of latency in a computer network, denoting the amount of time it takes data to travel from one computer to another on the network. It is normally expressed in milliseconds.

    About speeds:

    Download:

    • 5Mbps or less: Basic web surfing and email
    • 5-10Mbps: Web surfing, email, occasional streaming and online gaming with few connected devices
    • 10-25Mbps: Moderate HD streaming, online gaming and downloading with a moderate number of connected devices
    • 25-40Mbps: Heavy HD streaming, online gaming and downloading with a lot of connected devices
    • 40+Mbps: Hardcore streaming, gaming, and downloading with an extreme number of connected devices

    Upload:

    • 5Mbps or more up is a “good” standard.

    Ping: The lower the better

    • less than 50ms ping is really good
    • 50ms - 100 good to average
    • 100ms - 150ms start having problems
