    Attended Arapahoe Community College (Littleton, CO) in 1979 - 83, Green River Community College (Auburn, WA) in 1991- 93; Graduated with a B.A. from Evergreen State College in 1995; Graduated from Western Washington University with a M. Ed. in 1997.
     
    Retired from the U.S. Navy in 2010 after 24 years of combined Active and Active Reserve service. 
     
    Began teaching at Jackson High School in the 2000-2001 school year. Since being at JHS has taught World Cultures Block (now World History), Geography, U.S. Government, U.S. History, and AP U.S. Government.
