The contractor has completed the test and balancing and commissioning of the HVAC system and is working to complete the lighting control commissioning. Work to complete the punch list items continues. Demolition of the houses and outbuildings on the adjacent properties is complete. PUD has relocated the utility poles along 174th street per the county inspector’s direction. Within the coming weeks, the contractor will be in a position to request that the county make one final inspection and issue a certificate of occupancy, which will replace the temporary certificate of occupancy the school is currently operating under.

School began on September 4 at Tambark Creek ES. The contractor is working on completing punch list items. Commissioning of the HVAC system, access control system and lighting control systems continue. Landscaping work is complete.

School began on September 4 at Tambark Creek ES. The contractor continues to commission the classroom audio visual systems, the HVAC system, access control system and lighting control system. Interior punch list work has begun. Landscaping work is nearing completion.

The elevator, fire alarm system, fire sprinkler system and kitchen have been signed off by the associated inspector. All utilities are installed and operational. Paving of the parking lots is complete. Paving if the north access road that connects to 174th street will be complete before the start of school. Landscaping is underway. The under field drainage is complete at the play field and the contractor has begun placing topsoil on the play field. The play structure will be complete by the end of August. Classrooms are complete with the exception of punch list. The office staff has moved into the building with teachers to move in on August 19. Furniture has been delivered and distributed throughout the school.

The interior and exterior finishes are in process.  The contractor is installing the brown metal siding.  The concrete curbing and asphalt base for the road and parking areas are in process.  Utilities will be operational by mid-June.  Phone and fiber connections from the vendor are complete.   Elevator was delivered and is expected to be operational by 6/18.  90% of kitchen equipment and break-out store windows are installed.  The courtyard glass curtain wall is complete.

Tambark Creek Elementary is on schedule for opening in fall of 2019. Interior and exterior finishes are in process and the contractor started installation of the brown metal siding in the courtyard. Installation of the large exterior store front windows began last week. Exterior windows and siding installation continues. The new boilers, pumps, and associated piping have been installed.

The main electrical switch gear is nearing completion, with PUD scheduled to bring power to the building by the end of the month.

Finish work is underway throughout the classroom wing, including casework, ceiling tile, wall coverings, white boards, painting, and interior glazing.
