Superintendent's Message, August, 2019

    Dear friends and neighbors:

Welcome to the new school year!

I could not be more excited as we kick off a new school year! Much hard work has gone into preparing for opening day and we have so much to celebrate.

Each year we start anew in the fall, and each year we all look forward to building on the successes of the year before. Some of those successes include amazing graduation rates, skyrocketing participation in Advanced Placement courses as well as Career-Connected Learning, implementation of 1:1 technology, the opening of our new elementary school Tambark Creek, and modernization work at North Middle.

These are not just Everett Public Schools successes, they are community-wide successes. Your help is instrumental in preparing each student to succeed in a fast-paced world and to contribute meaningfully to our community. Much of this work is the result of passing the bond and levy in 2016. Thank you for your support in this mission.

The new school year promises to be exciting, challenging, fulfilling, and yes, successful for our community’s children. I look forward to starting my first school year in Everett with a solid team.

    Dr. Ian B. Saltzman, Superintendent
