In April 2016 the community voted to support Everett Public Schools' technology initiative through a capital levy. One year later, in the spring of 2017 the first installment of funding was received to launch the district's Integrated Technology Plan. In 2019-20 the deployment to middle schools began.
If you would like to purchase optional insurance, you may go through one of the many companies who offer laptop and device insurance online such as Worth Ave. Group. When selecting coverage, please refer to the replacment costs table within the handbook for the appropriate value of your student device.

Eisenhower, Evergreen, and Heatherwood Middle Schools

The device was selected for its inking capability, durability, and ease of use. It can function as a tablet or laptop and students and staff named it as a top candidate in the review process.
Each student attending Eisenhower, Evergreen and Heatherwood Middle schools will receive*:
- Laptop with power cord
- Battery-free digitized garaged pen
- Protective case
Each device is equipped with:
- Chrome OS
- Front and world facing cameras
- Absolute Data & Device Security
- Ports for power, USB drives, MicroSD card reader
- Combination microphone and audio jack
Student training information will be housed in each school's student canvas course.
*A different device may be issued for students with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) needing specialized software.
