The teacher supports include:
--Optional resources for families to use to keep students engaged
--Meaningful activities to reinforce or extend current learning (Per district directive, we will not be introducing new curriculum, only finishing units we are currently working on, and reviewing previous learning)
--Guidance for families to support engagement
--Online resources for which students have familiarity (iReady, AR, Other curriculum-based tools)
The teacher supports do NOT include:
--Replication of classroom instruction
--Assignments that will be collected, assessed, and graded
--Monitoring student access of online tools and resources
--Providing an exhaustive list of options
Teachers will be available to respond within 24 hours Monday through Friday (except between April 6-10) via e-mail or Google Classroom to answer questions and clarify learning opportunities.
I will read every e-mail you send or question/comment the students send me and I will respond within 24 hours. I will happily read and collect anything your child wants me to see (even if it isn't required or graded). I will also look for ways to continue our class community and teacher/student relationships during this closure.
Please see the following attachment with suggested lesson plans/pacing.
The district has also provided some amazing learning resources which can be found here.
