2020-21 School year and COVID
We are pleased that on Monday, April 19 we will be welcoming back middle and high school students in a hybrid concurrent model.
As we reopen to students, we will implement protocols to protect the health and safety of our students, staff and families. Please review the Parent COVID-19 handbook, and look for directions from your school on health attestations and daily health screening as your child returns to the building.
- All students and staff will be asked to self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19. If they are feeling sick, they should stay home from school. If they are experiencing symptoms of the virus, they should consult a healthcare professional right away and notify the school office.
- Students and staff will be frequently reminded about the importance of proper handwashing. We have placed no-touch hand sanitizer units throughout our buildings.
- All students and staff members will be required to wear masks or face coverings.
- The health, safety, and well-being of our school community remains our top priority. We are following sound protocols aligned with expert health guidance.
We look forward to seeing everyone back in our school soon.
Staff voluntary COVID testing onsite
We are excited to announce one additional layer of safety we are going to pilot in several of our elementary schools. Starting Wednesday, April 14, we will be providing rapid COVID testing for asymptomatic staff at six of our elementaries. Testing staff without symptoms regularly allows us to detect even asymptomatic cases, quickly quarantine those who have been exposed, and stop the spread in its tracks.
Once the testing process is piloted and refined in these six schools, we will work on expanding the opportunity to other schools. Find out more about staff voluntary COVID testing onsite.
