STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math!

So why STEAM and not just STEM?

Science is what we observe and know about the physical and natural world.  Engineering is the application of that knowledge to create something to solve a problem or fulfill a need.  Building things and solving problems requires creativity, which is where Art comes in!

All areas of STEAM are interconnected and Tambark Creek students will engage in STEAM projects and activities that require them to think creatively, be problem solvers and critical thinkers, collaborate in teams and effectively communicate their ideas.

We call these the 4 C's of 21st Century Skills

    the 4 c's

Investigations in the TCE STEAM lab are also guided by 2 other important learning models and guidelines:

The Engineering Design Process        and      Next Generation Science Standards(NGSS)

Additionally, students will learn how to be safe, responsible and respectful Digital Citizens as they utilize and navigate online tools and resources.

Mountainlions, let's take our learning full STEAM ahead into the 2020-21 school year!
