While the Pacific Northwest is known for its mild climate, we must always monitor practice conditions to protect our athletes from weather related injuries. Coaches should note the weather and plan practice accordingly. Lightning can often be a concern and coaches must have a plan when lightning encroaches upon their practice and/or game facility.
