I am very excited to embark on a year of literacy development with all of our students. With a team, I support student growth in the Common Core State Standards areas of Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. The families, students and staff at Tambark Creek Elementary have created a wonderful learning community. I am looking forward to partnering with you as a literacy instructor for your child. I have been in education for 30 years, spending time as a K-5 School Counselor, Kindergarten teacher, Reading Specialist, Early Learning Coach and Literacy Coach. I received my Bachelors of Science Degree from Siena College in Loudonville N.Y. and a Masters Degree and Ed.S. Degree from the State University of N.Y. at Albany. My K-8 Teaching Certificate was completed through Western Washington University Woodring College of Education. I became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2005.
