    • Can I use my cell phone in the library? How about handheld gaming devices?
      • The use of personal devices is welcomed for research purposes only. Gaming and music played audibly is prohibited.
    • Why do I have to sign in when entering/exiting the library?
      • In the case of an emergency situation, a record must be kept of all students in the library to ensure their safety. Also, the librarians like to keep track of how many students visit the library each day.
    • How many books am I allowed to check out at one time?
      • You may check out 5 books at once. This does not include textbooks.
    • How can I tell which books I've checked out and whether I have any fines or not?
      • Click the Destiny tab on this page to your left. Next, at the top right corner click Login. Enter your student ID # into User Name and again use your student ID # for your Password. Finally, click My Info to see your library account.
      • If you need assistance, ask Library Staff.
    • Where can I find the book ________?
      • First, use the Destiny search engine (link is on the front page of this site) to find your book. Check if it is in stock, and find the book's three-letter code (first three letters of author's name, for fiction books) or three-number code (for nonfiction books). Then, find the book by searching the shelves. They are arranged like this (from left to right, the right end being near the big windows): other languages/manga, fiction (alphabetically), reference books, new arrivals/generalities, nonfiction (numbers get higher as you go right) and more resources/magazines/newspapers. If you still can't find the book, feel free to ask the librarians for help.
    • What is the library's printing policy?

    • How about the library’s policy on food and drinks?
      • The consumption of any food or drinks (including water) is prohibited in the library.
    • Are there any other rules I should know about?
      • E-mail may only be used for downloading/sending assignments, NOT for using instant messaging services or viewing e-mail messages that are not related to academics. Students must remain quiet in the library at all times.
    • What are the library hours?
