Description

This project includes demolition of the existing school building. New construction will be steel with masonry and metal exterior cladding with a membrane roof. The existing covered play structure will be modernized. Site amenities include parking for approximately 100, a parent drop-off/pick-up loop, bus loop and parking for buses, new playground area and grass playfield restoration. The capacity of this school will be increased by adding new permanent classrooms. The school will be fully occupied during construction.

Updates

February 2, 2026: Masonry is nearly complete on the North wall and has begun on the West wall. Window installation has progressed to the office and library areas. Sheetrock placement has begun in the cafeteria & kitchen area. Sheetrock finishing has progressed to the library with the painters working in the office below. Ceiling grid is nearly complete in the entire classroom wing. The remaining portion of the natural gas line and meter is scheduled for installation later this week. The final steps are underway to allow placement of the electrical pad-mounted transformer to get permanent power into the building.

January 5, 2026: The permanent roof is complete for the Phase I area. Masonry on the East wall of the classroom wing is complete and has progressed to the North wall. Window installation is proceeding and in the final portion of the classroom wing. Metal stud framing is complete and rough-ins are underway in the cafeteria and kitchen areas. Sheetrock placement has moved from the office to the library above. Sheetrock finishing is wrapping up in the classroom wing and is being followed by paint. The ceiling grid is nearly complete on the first floor of the classroom wing and will move up to the 2nd floor next.
