  • Buzz Lightyear Welcome! Looking forward to the new school year in the fall after a summer break. 
    Most of the content for the classes that I teach will be found in Canvas. To access Canvas, open any Jackson or EPS district home page and click on the "Students" tab. In the new window, click on the Canvas icon. First-time users should see directions on how to register for access.
    I earned a masters in Education Technology from City University. My BA in Education was earned at Eastern Washington University. I also earned a BA in Communication Arts, Broadcast Journalism, from Pacific Lutheran University after earning an AA degree from Fort Steilacoom Community College (now Pierce College). Additional certification has been earned for Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Photoshop.
    Professional experience has included work in radio as a DJ and news reporter. Copy writing, photography, and trade show management experiences were earned working in various public relations and advertising jobs including the Tacoma Dome, Electric League of the Pacific Northwest, and as a free lance worker.
    I previously worked at Cascade High School and Valley View Middle School. I have taught a wide variety of classes including, publications/yearbook, digital photography, video production, desktop publishing, html, Info Tech, Microsoft Office User, sophomore English, junior English, introduction to French, study skills, 7th grade language art/world geography block, & 7th grade honors language arts/geography block.
    Additional duties have included coaching basketball, track, volleyball, and being a yearbook advisor. I have served as a building technology coordinator, professional development technology trainer, CTE pathway advisory committee coordinator, and was a member of the Everett Public Schools Tech Cadre when PCs were introduced district wide.
    I have also served as an adjunct professor for the City University Masters in Education Technology program and an adjunct professor for Everett Community College, Edmonds Community College and Lake Washington Institute of Technology. Before my teaching experience, I was employed at the Electric League of the Pacific Northwest, several radio stations, and The City of Tacoma to help open the Tacoma Dome.
