Welcome to another fantastic school year!

I am very excited to have your student in my class this year and am looking forward to a year full of learning, growth and development.

 

This is my 36th year of teaching, with 34 of those years at View Ridge Elementary.  I started as one of the two youngest teachers at View Ridge; now . . . well, let's just say I'm not the youngest teacher anymore!!!  :)  My degree is from Western Washington University, with a Master's Degree in Reading, and am a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT).  Here's an interesting tidbit . . . during my first year of teaching I taught second grade at Trafton Elementary in Arlington, a four-room school!  Yes; we rang the bell in the belfry to begin the school day!
