I am thrilled that you have decided to be a part of our #orchfam this year! I know this will be the start of your life-long journey of love for music, and I am honored to be a part of that. I have a few tricks and surprises up my sleeve this year that I am so excited to share with you, but meanwhile, I am looking forward to 180 days of goofy analogies, bad orchestra jokes, funny finger-twisting exercises, and most importantly, making beautiful music with your new #orchfam!Current Musicians: to access rehearsal/class information including practice tracks, see Google Classroom. During the COVID-19 School Closure, I will be posting resources using the Google Classroom software's organization tools. This means that engagement materials may be labeled as "assignments" or "classwork" and have "due dates." Please note that these materials are intended for students to access as they are able, that they will not affect students grades in orchestra, and that the "due dates" are just my estimate of how long it will take the average student to complete the activity, or the day and time when the activity will no longer be available.Google Classrom Schedule During the Closure:MONDAY: I will post a practice track for one of our concert packet songsTUESDAY: I will post a quick poll question for you to answerWEDNESDAY: I will post a brief tutorial or practice sessionTHURSDAY: I will post a quick FlipGrid videoFRIDAY: I will post a link to cool/beautiful orchestra music or a video
As always, please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions! Email is best (firstname.lastname@example.org).
