School closure (03/16-04/24)
I feel sad that we won't be able to meet in our classroom in the following weeks.
How students can work from home?
Students can keep working from home! Besides the packages sent home with your child or by mail, your child can also have more practice in our Google Classroom (classwork tab), i-Ready Math and Reading, Reflex Math, AR tests, and 30 min daily reading.
I sent a suggested schedule for students work from home last week by email. :)
What Mrs. Barros would like to see students doing daily?
Completing the math morning task.
Completing the quick writing task.
Completing the activity of the day on Google Classroom and working on their packages.
Working on i-Ready math and i-Ready reading daily (*pass in 3 math lessons and 2 reading lessons weekly).
Working on Reflex Math.
Reading for at least 30 minutes.
Working on AR.
Working on other engagement tools (check Interesting Web Resources on the left side of this page).
Besides these tasks, I recommend students access a set of learning engagement materials posted by Everett School District at https://www.everettsd.org/Page/31233
What Mrs. Barros will be doing online for the students and families?
I'm available online from Monday to Friday (8:00 am - 3:30 pm) answering emails from parents, supporting students through Google Classroom,
checking students work on i-Ready math and reading, AR, and Reflex Math. I'll aso keep checking students work through Google Classroom.
