Resources for Families

  • The Parent and Student sections of the website offer a host of resources for our families. Included here are some basics that can assist families in connecting to staff and key resources should they need to access information or communicate with teachers when learning at home.

In each section there are links to reference materials and how-to(s) for different products listed in the checklist.

Top - Must Know Features for all

  • Student District Accounts Students are each assigned a district identification number (ID). This number is key to accessing district technology. The district ID or district ID followed by @apps.everettsd.org is their username to almost every product. To identify whether district ID or district ID@apps.everettsd.org is the username for logging in to various tools, hover over the icon on the Student Tools page and the pop up will share how to log in to that application.
  • Checking Student Email All students are provided a district Outlook email account with an address ending in @stu.everettsd.org. Elementary students have limited access email allowing them to send or receive messages from school staff. Middle and high school students have fully functioning accounts. The above link provides information on how students access their email account.
  • Accessing Canvas Canvas is our district-adopted online course system. Teachers have general information about their course, their contact information, and key resource access directions. Students use their district ID and computer password to login to Canvas. Parents have their own accounts using their LMS username and password which is the same log in used for gradebook, Home Access Center, and the website. For more information about setting up your parent account in Canvas, downloading the Canvas Parent App or about Canvas click on the link above.
