CTE Advisory Committee

Purpose

The Career Technical Education (CTE) General Advisory Committee helps plan the training of our future workforce.

The CTE General Advisory Committee includes representatives from regional, high-demand industry sectors, and their guidance helps to ensure students are learning the most current workplace skills.

Committee members provide strategic direction, context and information that define and refine the district's STEM and CTE programs.

Committee contributions may include:

  • Strengthening partnerships with industry, business, and labor
  • Identifying and validating academic and occupational competencies
  • Reviewing goals, objectives and programs and then recommending priorities
  • Reviewing and refining communication for students, parents, employers and the community

General Advisory Committee

Our General Advisory Committee (GAC) provides overall support to our district CTE programs as a whole. GAC membership is currently comprised of a select group of industry members from our various pathways, our PAC Teacher Leads, and the CTE team.

GAC members help our district ensure all our students are learning the most current skills needed to be successful in the workforce and facilitate the continued growth of our Everett Career Link program.

Everett Career Link Program

Local business leaders serving on either a PAC or our GAC (we encourage members to serve on both) provide invaluable knowledge and insight into the future careers of our students. Join us!

Program Advisory Committees

Our Program Advisory Committees (PACs) work to support our individual CTE programs and pathways. Our PACs are comprised of Industry Members, Teachers within the pathway, former students when available, and a CTE Team representative (or two).

We are always looking to add more members to our PACs!
