Work Injuries
The Everett School Board recognizes that safety and health standards should be incorporated into all aspects of the operations of the District. Your safety is important to us.
In addition to physical hazards, working in any environment with a high concentration of people can increase the risk of exposure to germs and infectious agents on a daily basis. Specifically, bodily fluids can put you in danger of infection. Bloodborne pathogens (BBP) are infectious microorganisms in human blood that can cause disease. The most commonly reported BBP event is biting.
Everett Public Schools’ workers compensation coverage is provided through the Puget Sound Workers Compensation Trust. If an employee experiences a work-related injury or incident, it can be reported directly to them to begin the claims process.
Everett Public Schools is committed to fostering a safe and supportive work environment, and we take employee health seriously—providing resources to help guide staff through injury recovery, benefits coordination, and return-to-work support. If you are injured at work:
- In the case of a life-threatening event, call 911.
- To report the incident and start a claim, call the Nurse Triage Line at 833-928-6877 or
