School Transfers

If you live in the Everett Public Schools boundaries and want to attend another school within the district, please submit a school transfer request using one of the following Intradistrict Area School Transfer request forms available.

Intradistrict Area School Transfer requests for the 2026-27 school year are through ParentVue

Returning or current enrolled families:

If you have ever had a student enrolled in Everett Public Schools, you already have an existing ParentVue account.  Please do not create a new account.

• If you’ve forgotten your password, click “Forgot Password” on the login page.
• If you don’t remember your login information, contact your neighborhood school for assistance in reactivating your ParentVue account.

To begin the Online School Transfer Application process:

1. Log in using your ParentVue account.
2. Click on "Online Registration"
3. Select the “School Transfers” icon under the "2026-2027 School Year".  This will guide you step by step through the application process.  Please note: Only one registration application is available at one time.  If you started an application for "Enrollment for New Students" or "Information Update", you will not be able to begin the "School Transfers" application unless the current application is completed for submission or deleted. 

Log Into ParentVue

New to Everett Public Schools families:

• Answer the new family questions.
• Enter your name and email address, you will be sent a welcome email with a link to complete the account creation.
• Once logged in, select the “School Transfers” icon.  This will guide you step by step through the application process. Note: It is advised a student first be enrolled and registered with their neighborhood school prior to the school transfer application.

Create Account

Application Acceptance Timeline: Opened on January 5, 2026 for Intradistrict Area School Transfer requests for the 2026-27 school year.  Application Acceptance Timeline will remain open from January 5 through June 1.  Requests received after June 1 are considered late requests, and will be reviewed the first week of the new school year.  You may only submit one application per student and may only apply for one school for the 2026-27 school year.

Intradistrict Area School Transfer requests for the 2025-26 school year are on paper:

Applications for transfers for the current school year will be accepted through March 31, 2026.  No new transfer requests for the current school year will be accepted after that date unless there is a recent change in the resident student's address.  Principals review requests on a monthly basis.

For an Intradistrict Area School Transfer request for the 2025-26 school year, please submit using our Intradistrict Area School Transfer Request paper form. 

Please return the paper application form to the following: schooltransfer@everettsd.org.  You are welcome to drop off your paper request at our Community Resource Center located at 3900 Broadway Everett, WA 98201.

 

If you live outside of the Everett Public Schools boundaries and you want to attend a school within Everett Public Schools, follow the steps below.
All choice transfer requests will be accepted or denied within forty-five (45) calendar days of receipt by the district. Applicants will receive written notification of approval or denial of the request in a timely manner.

Step 1 : Submit a Request of Release

Submit a request for release from your resident school district. To submit a request for release, use the Choice Transfer Request Portal (CTRP) online. 
Choice transfer release requests from children of full-time certificated or classified employees, who are requesting enrollment in the employee’s assigned school or a school forming the district’s K-12 continuum which includes the school to which the employee is assigned may be submitted beginning February 15 for the following school year. All other choice transfer requests may be submitted beginning March 1 for the following school year.

Step 2 :  Application of Nonresident Student to Attend Everett Public Schools

Nonresident requests for the 2026-27 school year are through ParentVue:

Everett Public Schools will require both the Choice Transfer Release from your resident district and the Application of Nonresident Student to Attend Everett Public Schools.

Nonresident requests received by the district will receive written notification of approval or denial within forty-five (45) calendar days of receipt by the district.  A choice transfer release request may be denied or revoked if the request is not received on or before April 14 of each succeeding year.

*Limited grade levels
**Sequoia High School, the Lighthouse Cooperative program, the Port Gardner Parent Partnership, and the Dual Language program are designated as open to all students residing in the district without regard to the students’ geographic attendance area who meet the school or program requirements. If admitted, a transfer is not required for students residing in the district. Schools or programs of choice are closed to nonresident students living outside of Everett Public Schools.

  District residents who want to be released to attend a school outside of Everett Public Schools can submit the request for release through this portal. If you are unable to use this portal, a paper form is available upon request.  Please submit it to the School Transfers office.
