      Social-Emotional Education

Everett Public Schools uses the Second Step curriculum, published by the Committee for Children, to teach social-emotional skills to students in grades K-5.  It is research-based and designed to promote school success, connectedness, and a safe and respectful school climate by teaching students the skills they need to learn, have empathy, manage emotions, and solve problems.

There are online resources available for families to use at home.  They are accessed by going online to www.secondstep.org, setting up an account, and using the following activation keys for the various grade levels.  With access to this website, parents are able to view and download Home Link lessons to use with their children at home.
