Arc of Snohomish County
The Arc of Snohomish County is the local chapter of the largest national community-based organization advocating for and serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. The Arc provides advocacy services, support, and resources, including parent and sibling support, inclusive events, communication assistance grants, and more. A great local resource!

Everett School District Special Education PTSA
The Everett School District Special Education PTSA is a community of parents, teachers, and students who work together to enrich the learning environment and provide support to students and their families. The SEPTSA provides advocacy, information, training and support for special education students, their families, teachers and staff. The SEPTSA hosts several events throughout the year for students and parents, and offers a great way to network with other families in the area who share the same concerns. Meeting attendance is not required. We would love to have you join us!

Sesame Street and Autism: See Amazing in All Children
Sesame Street and Autism: See Amazing in All Children is a nationwide initiative aimed at communities with children ages 2 to 5. Developed with input from parents, people who serve the autism community, and people with autism, See Amazing in All Children offers families ways to manage common challenges, to simplify everyday activities, and to grow connections and support from family, friends, and community. The website contains videos for kids, videos for parents, daily routine cards, and digital storybooks featuring Julia, Sesame Street's first non-verbal autistic Muppet. Also available in Spanish.

Special Books by Special Kids
Special Books by Special Kids was created by special education teacher Chris Ulmer in 2016. Chris has created an acceptance movement, with the goal of normalizing the diversity of the human condition. Chris interviews children and adults who have different diagnoses to provide neurodiverse individuals and their families with a platform to share their thoughts and experiences with others. Check out some of these wonderful videos!

Washington Autism Alliance and Advocacy (WAAA)
Washington Autism Alliance and Advocacy is a personal and legislative advocacy organization for children and adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) & other developmental disabilities. They provide pro bono resources and support to families and professionals, offer low cost or no-cost community services such as support groups, a respite care program, and peer social communication portals, and lobby for legislation that directly supports and improves the health, safety, and education of children and adults with ASD and other developmental disabilities.
