Sno-Isle Food Co-op donates 100 holiday meal kits

On Monday, Nov. 24, the Sno-Isle Food Co-op donated 100 meal kits to support Garfield Elementary School families ahead of Thanksgiving.
Each week, the Garfield EATS program sends about 60 bags of food home with students. The program aims to remove poverty as a factor in student achievement.
The food co-op learned families could use extra resources for the upcoming holiday, so it pledged to provide meal kits.
Each kit was full of high-quality organic ingredients and fresh produce. The bags were packed by a local Girl Scout troop and delivered by staff and volunteers.
