7 schools recognized with Culture Kickoff Award, top in state
Everett Public Schools (EPS) is celebrating a strong start to the school year after seven schools were honored with the AWSL/AWSP Culture Kickoff Award, a statewide recognition for schools that begin the year with energy, intention, and a commitment to positive school culture.
Out of more than 2,500 schools across Washington, only 44 schools statewide received the Culture Kickoff Award this year. With seven award recipients, EPS earned the highest number of honorees of any district in the state.
Each school was recognized with an in-person award presentation that included a recognition letter, certificate, and banner celebrating their efforts to create welcoming and engaging learning environments from the first day of school.
The Culture Kickoff Award, presented by the Association of Washington School Leaders and the Association of Washington School Principals, highlights schools that prioritize connection, belonging, and positive culture at the start of the academic year.
The following Everett schools were recognized:
- Jackson Elementary
- Jefferson Elementary
- Monroe Elementary
- Silver Lake Elementary
- Eisenhower Middle School
- Everett High School
- Sequoia High School
EPS congratulates its students, staff, and school leaders for their dedication to building strong school communities where students feel welcomed, supported, and ready to learn.
