MIDDLE SCHOOL SPORTS

July 29, 2020, Superintendent Saltzman announced all Everett Public Schools will start the 2020-21 school year with 100% remote learning. With this announcement, all fall middle school sports will be delayed until at least January, 2021. In the coming months, middle school athletic directors will develop a new sports calendar and schedule for each sport. Changes to middle school sports seasons will be communicated to families once finalized.

HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the WIAA announced a modified 2020-21 WIAA high school sports season calendar. The changes will create four WIAA-sanctioned seasons and will also move moderate- and high-risk team sports, originally scheduled for the fall season, to the WIAA Season 3. View message sent to high school families.

July 31, 2020, Wesco Athletic Directors voted to play all fall high school sports during Season 3 of the new WIAA calendar. Girls soccer, football, volleyball, and cross country will be played between March 1 and May 2, assuming dates do not change. Approval from WIAA to allow Wesco to offer boys tennis in Season 3 is pending, regardless, boys tennis will not be played in Season 1.
