The KNOW HIV/STD Prevention Education and “GET REAL” Sex Education Session 2 will be starting in June.  This is a State Mandated Curriculum that will be taught to all PE students in 6th/7th/8th Grade classes.  Key Concepts that will be introduced in Session 2 are STI’s, HIV/AIDS, Protection Methods, and Refusal Skills.  If you would like to request to excuse your student from the Session 2 curriculum, please pick up a green “Request to Excuse” form from the main office or from your child’s PE Teacher.  If you have already signed a release from Session one, you will NOT need to do the paperwork again.  Any questions, feel free to contact Mrs. Wilder.

    After School Reminder!

Evergreen MS is a closed campus from 30 minutes after school ends until 4:30pm each day—it is only an open campus after 4:30 pm to allow for evening sports to occur. We expect every student to promptly leave campus at the end of each day, unless the student is staying for an after school program that is supervised by an adult, like Study Club or an extra-curricular activity. The students participating in after school clubs or study club may take the Activity Bus home at 3:10 pm. Students that participate in sports may take the Athletic Bus home at 4:30 pm. If your student is not involved in athletics, then they should not return to school at 4:30 to meet with friends. Our #1 priority is student safety and therefore prefer for them to be home when it is dark, cold, and school-related activities are done.
