Sun Bucks is Washington's Summer EBT program, providing $120 per eligible child to help families buy groceries during summer break. Families must apply and qualify for this benefit based on household income or other eligibility criteria by May 31 (families receiving state nutrition benefits are already enrolled). Now enrolling kindergarten students for our Dual Language Spanish Immersion Program at Emerson and Silver Lake elementary schools. Students learn in both English and Spanish, building bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural skills. Is your child turning 5 by midnight on August 31? It is time to enroll for kindergarten! Once enrolled, you can register your child to attend Everett Ready, a fun four-day transition program from August 18-21 (3 hours per day at their home school). Yearbook Ordering Deadline Extended
It's not too late to order your yearbook! The deadline has been extended to this Friday, May 9th if you want your yearbook sent to school with no shipping cost. Mark your calendar for our Multicultural Night hosted by our Natural Leaders on May 28th from 5:30 PM-7 PM. Student Council Hosts a Spirit Day
Student Council is hosting Fandom Day on Friday, May 9th! Show us how much of a fan you are of a sport, movie, book or anything else you are a fan of by dressing up as that character or jersey. Remember no masks or weapons and don't forget your tennis shoes if you have P.E. on this day. We look forward to seeing all of our fans!

Come join us for Family Movie Night on Friday, May 9th hosted by our PTA! Doors open at 5:30 PM and the movie starts at 6:00 PM. Bring your own seat. Silver Firs Smarter Balanced Assessment Testing Schedule
Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA) testing will begin on April 29th for our 3rd-5th grade students. The assessment is designed to determine your student’s level of understanding of the academic standards they are learning in the classroom daily. Our school recognized for closing gaps in the classroom!
The Washington School Recognition Program names schools for closing gaps in the classroom, and our school is one of them! Based on the Washington School Improvement Framework, schools are recognized more equitably for closing gaps, growth, and achievement.
