    History

The Everett Public Schools Foundation has been a vital partner to Everett schools and the community since 1985. We play a unique role, providing funding that would otherwise not be available for innovative and critical programs that support student success. The Foundation has contributed over $5.7 million in program support since its founding.

Our pillar programs support vital initiatives surrounding:

    Early Learning
Impacting Student, Family & Staff Outcomes
    College, Career & Life Readiness
    Student Needs & Well-Being

Early Learning Support includes the district’s Everett Ready program preparing our youngest learners for Kindergarten. We also support the three Play & Learn groups at local libraries. These groups meet virtually and in person to provide an opportunity for children ages 0-5 and their caregivers to come together for stories, singing and activities. Groups are in both English and Spanish.

Impacting Student, Family & Staff Outcomes includes several programs, including our Classroom Grant program providing our teachers with extra funds to bring creative and inspirational learning to their students. We also issue grants to staff members that are brand new to teaching, library grants to support each school and STEM program assistance.

Our third pillar of support is College, Career & Life Readiness. This initiative includes our Summer School Tuition assistance, college exploration field trips and college-bound scholarships.

Student Needs & Well-Being is our fourth pillar. Included is our annual Stuff the Bus for Kids school supply drive providing over 3,600 filled backpacks throughout the district, enabling our students to be prepared and ready to learn on the first day of school. We also provide grants to each school for basic student needs. These grants can be utilized as needed to support students and their families.
