The Elementary School Art Show took place as planned this year and was displayed at the CRC, but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, many people in the district were not able to view the lively, colorful art in the show. However, the wonderful work of our elementary school student artists can be viewed virtually here. Thank you all for supporting these amazing students.
Please check out the parent resource webpage for the June 1 i-Ready Diagnostic: https://www.everettsd.org/Page/35852. We hope all students in grades K-5 will be taking a Spring iReady Diagnostic! This site will help families support students through this process. For example, you will find a video on proctoring the assessment.
Thank you for encouraging students to do their best on the assessment so that they will get the right lessons.
Now, more than ever, schools are the heart of our community. Investing in our schools continues our focus on not only academics, but the well-being of every student in our district. The school board has recognized that need and decided to put the $317.4 million bond that was to run in April, on the August 4, 2020 ballot. Find out what projects specifically benefit View Ridge Elementary School by clicking the link above.
With the district-wide closure of Everett Public Schools, we have created a website that includes an initial set of materials intended to support students’ engagement in learning. The materials do not replace the experience of being in school but can help students maintain the learning that has taken place this school year. Click the headline to visit the page.
On April 6, Governor Inslee announced the closure of all school buildings in our state through the end of this school year. Please click the headline for more information.
We are committed to providing access to the nutrition Everett Public School students need during an extended emergency district wide closure. We will be offering meals for pick up at a total of 23 school sites and at least 5 apartment complexes. Please click link for more information.
If your child will be five years old by August 31, 2020, it’s time to register for kindergarten! Online registration is available on the district website. Register now to access information about your school’s kindergarten program and receive a parent resource and children’s book “Kindergarten, Here I Come!” Registration also reserves your child’s spot in Everett Ready, our transition-into-kindergarten program scheduled for August 17-21, at our elementary schools.
