Welcome to a fantastic year!
I am very excited to have your student in my Primary (K-2) Life SKills Classroom!
This is my third year with the Everett School District, and my twenty-second year of teaching. Over the last last fourteen years I have taught special education as a self-contained classroom teacher! I previously taught 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. I earned my Bachelor's degree and endorsements from Western Washington University. I have been lucky enough to work in a wide variety of educational settings during my career, including para-educator, and behavior intervention specialist. I am also Nationally Board Certified as an Exceptional Needs Specialist.
I am so very fortunate to have the opportunity to support students with special needs and their families. With a wrap around team approach we work to ensure success for each student in our program.
In our Life Skills classroom you will find several amazing support staff members: Sheila Fozard, Grace Bessman, Nawal Shaheen and Gelan Girguis. We will be adding one new staff member as the year starts.
I am looking forward to working together in a year full of learning, growth, and development. Please feel free to email me any time.
