    The Everett Public Schools Foundation is pleased to announce the opening of our Student Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion grants, which offers grants up to $1,000. These grants are intended to support student-led initiatives that advance diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) within our middle and high school communities.  Don't miss out on this chance to make a difference and bring positive change to your school.

      Grant Priorities-
       We prioritize projects that:
    • Spark student excitement and engagement.
    • Aim to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion and have a positive impact within your whole school community.
    • New grant proposals will be prioritized.

    Before You Apply:  Please read this application carefully. Incomplete applications, or those that don't align with the Everett Public Schools Strategic Plan and the foundation's mission, will not be considered.

    Plan Ahead:  Your Application must have:

    • Principal Approval: Your principal must sign off on your grant application.
    • District Staff Sponsor: You must have a District Staff member as a sponsor for your project.


    Important Note: Applications must be completed at one time. Partial applications cannot be saved.  We recommend printing the list of questions and preparing your responses in advance.  

    Grant Details:

    • This grant opportunity is open to middle & high school students, student clubs, and classes.
    • The deadline to submit your application is Wednesday, October 22nd at 11:59 pm.  Only electronic submissions will be accepted.
    • Students may collaborate on a single school project, but the application must be submitted by the student(s) leading the project.
    • Grants will be awarded up to $1,000 per project.
    • Only one application per student/club.  A school can submit multiple grants for different student projects.
    • Staff salaries are not eligible expenses.
    • Funds must be used during the school year the grant was awarded.
    • Funds will be placed in your school's budget. Unused funds will revert back to the foundation.
    • Keep a copy of all receipts and submit them to your school office.

    EVALUATION PROCESS

    • Each application will be reviewed, evaluated, and scored by the Foundation's DEI Committee and Student Board Members. 
    • Grants will be awarded in mid-November.
    • The information included in your application is public and will be used in publicity, funding acquisition efforts, and donor reporting.


    Grant Recipient Expectations:

    • Complete Grant Evaluation Form before end of school year.
    • Share stories showcasing the impact of your project.  Include photos and videos (FERPA approved).
    • Be available to attend one of the three Foundation Benefit Events to share your grant with the local community:
