The first Garfield Elementary School was built in 1902 where the school’s playground is today. The school was rebuilt and re-opened in 1968. In 2008, the third rendition of the school was built, thanks to voter approval of a construction bond in 2006. Garfield Elementary School is a proud centerpiece for the Riverside Neighborhood and represents the learning and community focus of the region.
