Posted by Kristin Wood on 3/4/2016

To celebrate Dr. Suess Day, we read to the 1st graders!  We practiced reading out book at least three times and we were pretty excited when we got there. It was a great experience and the 5th graders commented on how polite and quiet the 1st graders were!

More pictures will be posted on Class Dojo shortly.

Big news.. we have started our new novel, "City of Ember" by Jeanne DePrau. It is a science fiction novel which includes a futuristic setting.  We are already comparing and contrasting the world in the future to our current year of 2015.  We aren't even done with the first chapter and we have already been sucked in by the mysteries and questions about this new world of Ember.
