Where do I find the library lesson? This link will show you where to find the read aloud and activity.  It is under the hidden link Jackson only.

After listening to the story, I now challenge you to make your own camping tent/fort.  You could set up a tent in the backyard to read in or make a blanket fort and grab a book.  Get creative and read!

Where do I find the library lesson? This link will show you where to find the read aloud and activity.  It is under the hidden link Jackson only.

After listening to the story, your challenge is to photograph your own wildlife in your neighborhood (with parent permission).

You and an adult at home can work on this together with a camera you have or you can use your chromebook to take a picture.

Another option is to draw a picture of wildlife you see.  In my neighborhood there are a lot of rabbits, so I will try to capture them.  You can also draw a picture of your pet and put in a funny background like in our story The Secret Life of Squirrels.

Post a picture at Ms. Paisley's Padlet

After listening to the story, you will find a box around your house: cereal box, tissue box, shoe box, jewelry box, or even a large fruit box.

My challenge to you is to turn that box into something (anything!).  If you would like to share a picture of it, you can post it on

Ms. Paisley's Padlet or have your parents email me a picture.  Have fun!

Where do I find the library lesson?   It will show you how to access the lesson.  Then you may choose a fun way to look for new words.

    Word Celebration!  Happy Word Collecting!

This week you will be a word collector.  As you read and listen to books this week, write down words that make you stop.  These are those juicy words that may be fun to say or sound grown up. Start a word collection.  It could be:

*A poster with words on it

*A sheet of paper with words and illustrations

    *Index cards or sticky notes

    *Words you make in playdough

When you find your favorite word, write the word on Ms. Paisley's Padlet .
