Hello Preschool Families
Welcome to the Lowell Developmental preschool!! I am excited to get to know and work with you and your child this school year! Being the first school experience for many of your children, I know this can be a hard transition so I will try to make myself available as much as possible to tell you about your child’s day, and describe the strategies that we are using in the classroom to help your child be successful in the skills that will prepare them for their many school years and beyond.
This is my 9th year teaching (7th in preschool), and I am excited to continue to grow in my learning, as your children grow in theirs. The Lowell team is one of the closest teams I have worked with, and I am excited to continue learning from them. My goal is to provide a safe and engaging environment to aide in your child’s learning. We will learn through songs, games, whole and small group instructional activities, play (centers), and each other.
Teachers always say that our job is to work ourselves out of a job, and I know I did my job when I see our students modeling a skill for their classmates. I hope this handbook provides you with the information you'll need to make a smooth and easy transition. Please don't hesitate to call me if you have questions.
When I am not in the classroom, my husband and I are busy at home chasing after our 3.5-year-old son, and 2 year old son and daughter. We spend most of our time exploring local parks, reading books, playing Lego’s, and going to the swimming pool.
