Kindergartners, First Graders, and Second Graders come to me during their specialist time and get an extra dose of literacy instruction through poetry, song, phonics, and reading comprehension activities. Everything we do during our specialist time is carefully designed to enhance the literacy learning they are receiving from their classroom teachers.  

 

Here's a little information about me:

 

This is my 12th year as a teacher in the Everett School District and my sixth year as a Silver Lake Mustang. Prior to becoming a specialist, I taught 3rd grade, 1st grade, and was also the building English Learner (EL) coach. I think teaching is the best job in the world because you get to know people from all different backgrounds and cultures, no day is ever the same, and I get to hangout with the most creative, funny and inspiring humans...kids! I pride myself in building relationships with students and their families. We are a team. Please don't hesitate to reach out for anything.
