Welcome Back! I hope you enjoyed your spring break time and found something fun and relaxing to do. We have a learning curve ahead of us as we navigate the new student learning platforms. I'm here to help! Please don't hesitate to reach out with any question or comment, big or small. Together we can support your child's learning!
Welcome 2nd grade students and families!
The recent school closure has changed the way that students are going to school. Please join me in continuing to make your child's education a high priority. Learning will be different from what we're used to, but I know that we can succeed if we work together! Thanks for your patience and partnership in the weeks to come.
It is my hope to keep the lines of communication open, and to answer questions as promptly and as clearly as I can. You can reach me at email@example.com
, or simply click on my name above. I also check my SeeSaw account daily. If you have not done so already, please download and join our Seesaw app page (Seesaw.com
), where kids and parents can communicate with me, as well as find learning resources to explore. If you don't have your child's SeeSaw code, please email me and I'll send it to you.
This week, I will be reaching out to each family by email, or by telephone. When teachers make work calls from home, our numbers are kept anonymous using a dialing code. It may appear to you as "private number". If you see this on your caller ID, it may be me giving you a call to see how you're doing.
Another great resource that you can use to access some of the curriculum materials that we normally use in the classroom is Canvas
, where you can find links that take you to the NG Connect (Reach for Reading curriculum), Typing Club, Pearson Easy Bridge (Math curriculum) and Discovery Education (STEAM related video and content).
Here is a list of resources put out by the district
that can help to support your student during the emergency school closure. After you click on the link, just select elementary and it will display all of the resources broken down by subjects.
