We have had a wonderful year and I love having each of your children in my class. While I miss seeing your children each day I know that we are all connecting in the best ways we can.
For right now, my goal for your student is to engage in online learning in a meaningful, supported manner. I will provide engaging tasks and learning opportunists for your student each week. District-provided Student Engagement Materials are also available to reinforce and extend learning.
During this school closure, I will be providing all learning resources and links through Google Classroom. This is where students will access content, zoom session links, and other important information. It is important that your student checks the google classroom daily. There is a new google classroom link that is just for my, Mrs. Jackson's, classroom.
To log into our Google Classroom, students must first sign in on the Silver Lake Elementary webpage. If you are having trouble, trying signing out of Google and signing your student in using studentID@apps.everettsd.org. For more help, use the link How To Use Google Classroom and/or Family Tech Support.
Once in Google Classroom, your student should use the Classwork tab to see daily schedules and content for learning. This will not replace any learning that could have been done at school, but my hope is that students can benefit from these tools by retaining skills they already have and build more independent work habits to support their growth as learners!
Enrichment opportunities will also be posted in Google Classroom.
If you have any questions, please reach out. Email is the best way for parents to contact me. Students can contact me by leaving a comment in the weekly google classroom group chat.
Please take care of yourselves and your families!
