Welcome to Mrs. Rounds' Class of Fabulous Firsties!
The last few weeks have been a crazy time for all of us! I hope that you and your family are staying healthy and safe. Please know how much I miss seeing every one of my student's smiling faces! It has been so fun to be able to see some of them on Zoom. I have loved hearing how they are learning at home.
As you are working at home with your child, I am here to help you! My goal is for your student to engage in online learning in a meaningful, supported way. I will be providing engaging tasks and learning opportunities each week. District-provided Student Engagement Materiasl are also available to reinforce and extend learning.
There are many resources and that can feel really overwhelming. The first grade team has put together weekly calendars that give ideas in all subject areas on a daily basis. I will be providing all learning resources and links through Google Classroom. This is where students will access content, zoom link sessions, and other importnat information. Please check it out if you have not already. It is important that your child checks the Google Classroom daily. You can also access it by going to the student tab on the Silver Lake webpage, go to student tools, click on Google. Your child can login by typing their lunch email@example.com. For example, firstname.lastname@example.org. On the left side of the screen you will see the icon for Google Classroom. Our class code is xv2dce. Our classeroom Seesaw page is another great place to go and find information.
If you have any questions, please reach out! Email or Seesaw is the best way for families to contact me. Please take care of yourself and your familes!
