Thank you for your efforts to ensure your student arrives to school each day on time ready to learn.

If your student will be absent, please email the attendance office at: FVEAttendance@everettsd.org or call the attendance line at: (425) 385-7905. If you leave a voicemail, please provide a written note or email within 30 days of your student’s first day back to school.

School Day starts at 9:10am          Tardy Bell rings at 9:15am

Students are TARDY:    Arriving between 9:15am – 9:45am
                                       Leaving between 3:00pm – 3:30pm

Tardy - Students are expected to be in their classrooms, in their seats, and ready to participate at the beginning of each class. Students are tardy if they arrive after the published start time or leave before the published end time for school or class. A student who is marked tardy to class is not absent unless the student otherwise meets the criteria for an absence.

Students are PART DAY ABSENT from school if they:

Arrive AFTER 9:45am 

Leave BEFORE 

• •  3:00pm Regular Day
  •  1:45pm Learning Improvement Friday
  •  12:30pm Early Release Day

 Excused Tardies/Absences are:       

• • Illness/health condition
  • Medical Appointments (Doctor Note)
  • Family Emergency/Funeral
  • Religious
  • Cultural

Unexcused Tardies/Absences are:    

• • Late Arrivals
  • Family Vacations (unapproved)
  • Reasons other than listed as excused

If your student will be out of town, please fill out and return the preplanned absence form by clicking here.

Changes to a student’s daily going home plan

Occasionally, we need to change the plan of how our child is going home at the end of the school day. If this is the case for your family, we ask that a guardian calls the school office at 425-385-7900 by 3:00 p.m.  Please mention the name of your student, teacher, and the change of plan.  Our office will then send out a messenger to deliver this information. We ask that you please not email teachers with same day changes as they may not see the message before the end of the day.  This method of communication helps to support our staff with accurate message delivery.
