    Code of Conduct

Welcome to North Middle School’s athletics program. It is extremely exciting and rewarding to have your student-athlete be part of our program. Being active in athletics is important because lessons learned through participation in athletics will assist students in their preparation for life after high school. By participating in athletics, students will learn cooperation, respect, sportsmanship, hard work, and commitment to others. Since participation in athletics is voluntary, a student-athlete’s participation in school-sponsored athletics is a privilege.  As a privilege, student-athletes are held accountable academically and behaviorally throughout the entire year and are expected to conduct themselves in a way that promotes a positive image of our school, our community, and themselves. We  hope you have a memorable season in your sport and a wonderful experience at North Middle School.

All students must be registered in Final Forms and have a completed profile prior to being able to practice for a sport. Directions are available on the 'Online Registration' link above.

    Physical

All students are required to have an up-to-date physical on file with the school in order to participate in a sport. The form needs to be filled out by a medical professional. All physicals are good for two years. You can get a copy of the form at: https://docushare.everett.k12.wa.us/docushare/dsweb/Get/Document-40756/Preparticipation%20Physical%20Evaluation%20091112.pdf

    Athletic Seasons

Athletics are split into 4 seasons. Athletes can participate in one sport a season. Below are sports by season and their first day of practice for the 2022-2023 school year. All athletes are required to have a specific number of practices prior to participation in their first competition, so if you are planning on participating in a sport, it is highly advantageous for you to get signed up well in advance of the first day of practice.

6th graders can practice in Cross Country, Wrestling, and Track and Field but are not able to compete.
