Whittier Elementary School was built in 1948 at the very north end of the district, adjacent to Everett Community College. The school has been expanded several times since 1948, including a library addition and more classrooms in 1986 and floor renovations in 2003. Thanks to voter approval of the 2006 construction bond, Whittier Elementary School was completely modernized, including a new gym.
