My name is Laura Gray. I am a first grade teacher here at Silver Firs Elementary. My students and I enjoy our days in room A-4. I am very excited to be here working with first grade students and inspiring them to be lifelong learners.

This is my 20th year in the Everett School District and my 19th year here at Silver Firs. I have previously taught second-grade, been a reading specialist in the Northshore School District, a reading/math teacher at Cedar Wood Elementary, a reading specialist right here at Silver Firs and this is my 11th year teaching first grade. I earned my BA Ed in Elementary Education and have a minor in remedial reading from Central Washington University. I also completed the Professional Certification Program through City University.

My husband and I both grew up in Ellensburg, Washington and have two children. As a family we enjoy camping, water-skiing on the Columbia River and Lake Stevens, playing board games and traveling.

I enjoy working with children because they help us to look at life in a simpler way. There is never a day in which I don't learn something from a child. I am looking forward to seeing you around the school!
