Welcome Families and Students,

This 2021-2022 school year will be my 9th year at Silver Firs Elementary and my 23rd year teaching in Washington. Before coming to Silver Firs, I was the Reading Facilitator K-5 at Hawthorne Elementary. I began teaching my first class of 5th-grade students in Edmonds School district at Terrace Park K-8, then worked as a Reading Specialist at Edmonds and Beverly Elementary before heading to Sultan as a Reading Specialist and co-teaching Extended Day Kindergarten.

Building our classroom community and working hard are important elements in our classroom. We will help encourage and support each other, starting with classroom discussions about school and classroom procedures, then share what each of us needs to learn, and finally make agreements for how to make our third-grade year a success  to help make it a pleasant, productive, and memorable third-grade year.

I look forward to meeting and learning about each of you. Families and caregivers are an important foundation of student learning. I will work with you as a partner towards your child's achievement in literacy, math, science, and student wellness and social emotional engagement.
