• Mrs. Ross Welcome to First Grade!

I’m excited to begin the upcoming school year!  First grade is an amazing year of growth, exploration, and is full of exciting challenges and interesting things to learn.

My name is Robyn Ross and this year marks the beginning of my nineteenth year as a first grade teacher; I love it!  Impacting the life and learning of young children is a humbling experience.  Seeing that “light bulb moment,” the moment when understanding dawns, will never get old, and I hope I never take it for granted!  I have spent the last seventeen years living and teaching in Granite Falls (prior to that I taught in the Lake Stevens School District for one year).  My family and I relocated to Everett this year and I am excited to begin my new teaching adventure at Silver Firs Elementary.  I know it is going to be an amazing place to work and that it is great place for kids!

A bit more about me . . . I have been married to Mr. Ross for nine years and we have two sons: Ezekiel (7) and Isaiah (5).  We chose to grow our family through international adoption and both of our children are originally from provinces in southern China.  They are two VERY busy and inquisitive boys who keep us on our toes!  I love to travel (in the US and around the world), "play" outside (hiking, walking, going to the beach, exploring new places), read, and spend time with family and friends.

As an educator and individual, I strive to be a clear communicator.  It is my goal to make sure you are aware of what your child is learning and what we are up to in A1 each week.  Please watch for weekly newsletters (sent home and/or posted online every Friday) that will keep you informed.  If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call (425.385.6500), email (rross@everettsd.org), or send a note, and I will get back to you as quickly as possible.  I am looking forward to learning more about every child and family represented in our classroom!
