I've always loved to sing and dance. As a kid I played the piano, the flute and even the bassoon for a very short time. But singing is my real love. I have a Vocal Performance Music Degree from Whitworth University in Spokane. I used to teach private music lessons but I decided to become a public school teacher when I realized that spending time at my children's schools was when I was happiest. I went back to college to get my Masters in Teaching and I have been teaching at Silver Lake Elementary ever since. This is my 13th year. I love my job and I love music. My goal is that all students will find some element of music that they can relate to because music is for everyone!
When I'm not at school, I enjoy performing, crafting and hanging out with my husband, my two cats, and my two college-age boys when they visit. Life is good!
