Online Databases

    There are lots of great resources students can use.  Pebble Go and Britannica School are great research options the district provides for students.  There are a few additional great options below that students are not as familiar with, but have access to and can use.  

     

    Students must login to the district in order to access "database logins".  In top right, look for sign in and use student ID/password to access.  Quick how to video here.

    Pebble Go is a curricular content hub specifically designed for K-3 students.  Packed with informational articles, ready-made activities, and literacy supports for students of all abilities.  It boosts engagement and fosters independent learning in core subject areas.

    Britannica School is a safe, up to date, and age-appropriate information resource for Elementary, Middle, and High School. Discover encyclopedia articles, multimedia, primary sources, games and other learning resources that support student research and reinforce curriculum standards.

    *Best for upper grades, but students have not been taught this yet.  Britannica School & Pebble Go are best resources at this time!

     

    Proquest provides access to information from periodicals, newspapers, multimedia and image collections, out-of-print books, dissertations, and scholarly collections.  To access ProQuest K-12 student must go to Everett School District website and sign into district site. Click on the Proquest tile and you will be able to complete searchces from home or school.

    After you log onto ProQuest, you can choose:

    • ProQuest Online -, with a fun and easy-to-use search interface.
    • eLibrary -Includes more than 2,000 full-text sources, magazines, newspapers, books, television/radio transcripts, maps, pictures, and audio/video clips
    • or eLibrary Elementary -stocked with age-appropriate articles, videos, sounds, pictures and more.

    CultureGrams Online is a great place to discover the cultures of our world.  Use our district's subscription by logging into Student Tools and click on CultureGram tile. 

    • World Edition to experience the cultures of more than 200 countries in reports that include maps, statistics, a glossary and information in 25 categories.
    • States Edition to tour all 50 states, see the state flags, listen to state bird sounds, print county maps and more.
    • Provinces Edition for information on the Canadian provinces and territories.
